Beachbody: Debbie Siebers’ Slim In 6- Review Week 1


I figure the bestway to let you know how my first week went is to break it down by day.
Day 1
My first day workout with Debbie Siebers’ Slim in 6. I am not going to lie it HURT. Not just a little hurt it really hurt. Debbie says ‘to work past the burn”. Well it never stopped burning. I sweat more than I think I have ever sweat in any workout before. I made it through the whole workout though with only a few exercises I tried but could not complete. I kept moving though and worked through to the next exercise. In the evening we went to a Beach party where we had to walk down and then up a huge flight of stairs to get to the beach it was so painful! But it added a bit more exercise which was exciting. I was hurting for the rest of the day and I was sore into the next day.

Day 2
I wasn’t sure I would be able to exercise at all I was still very sore from the day before but after the warm up I was able to do all the Ramp It Up! Exercises. This time I finished the whole routine with only three of the exercises being too hard for me to complete. I was excited that I was able to complete more but when it was all done I was still sore very sore.
Day 3
I didn’t exercise on Day 3 we spent the entire Day at the Irish Fair walking ALL DAY. Seriously from 8am to around 7:30pm.
Day 4
I finished the Ramp It Up! Workout and this time I wasn’t sore! It was awesome I actually felt really good afterward. I have been working out in the afternoon when the kids take their naps I think I am going to try working out in the mornings instead. I just sweat so much I have to take a shower afterwards and the mornings would just be a better time. I went on a 5 mile walk at night- way longer then my usual.
Day5
I decided to do the Burn It Up! Workout. This one was pretty hard there is more focus on your core and you definitely feel it. I also moved my workout to the Morning and I like it much better. I also don’t have to worry about fitting it in, in the afternoon which was a previous worry with working around the kids schedules.
Day 6
I completed the Ramp it Up! And Slim and 6-pack! Workouts. I felt so good afterwards. I am loving the morning workout I have so much energy afterwards and I feel like I have really accomplished something. It is AWESOME. My nightly walk was a breeze. We go up a lot of hills and usually I can’t talk when I go up them. This time I was able to talk and walk. I think we will need to step up the nightly walks a notch.

Day 7
Today! I completed the Ramp it Up! Workout and I mean I completed it. I was able to do all the exercises’. Yes, they hurt but I finished them all! I was even able to do push-ups. I don’t think I was even able to do push-ups in High school. I can definitely feel myself getting stronger all over. It is incredible and I can see in my face that I am slimming down!
OVERALL-
I love this workout. I did make a mistake though I didn’t do the 6-Day Express Diet Plan which I really wanted to do. I will start that tomorrow (Saturday) and see how it goes. With that aside I have loved everything about this program, even the soreness. I know that seems a bit crazy especially since it REALLY hurt. But it let me know that I was actually doing something. It has been so long since I have done a workout that actually hurt like that, where you really feel the burn. Most are tiring and I sweat a little. But this workout you really workout every muscle everything gets targeted and you work it hard. I was slightly disappointed because I did not lose any weight this week. But I think maybe that’s because I was gaining muscle. That’s the only thing I can think of since I did not cheat on my diet and I have worked out every day except Sunday. So that is a little hard for me since I am used to getting immediate results. But there is something Debbie Siebers says in her DVD’s “It’s all about consistency”. I know that if I keep this up I am going to lose weight and big time. There is no way I can fail with the amount of sweat and time I am putting into this.

One of the things that makes each routine bearable to me is the countdowns. I need this to keep going. You can see above and below in the bottom right hand corners the different types of countdowns.
