Big Book of Cupcakes- Review and Giveaway

The Big Book of Cupcakes from Southern Living truly is a big book of cupcakes like it’s name states. It could have also been called “The only book of cupcakes you will ever need” as in this book is so amazing you will never need to refer to any other cupcake book, ever. Bold claim, perhaps but I stand by my statement. I went to my local library and checked out a ton of cupcake books and this one was by far the best! I was floored when I got this book I expected a big book of cupcake recipes, yes. But there is so much more than just recipes in this book. I am totally a visual learner and this book has a photo of each of its delicious cupcakes to go along with each recipe so you have an idea of what each can look like and also a picture of different decorating ideas. There are techniques on decorating and the most mouth watering recipes ever. One of my favorite things about this book besides the breathtaking photos is that almost every recipe also has a side area where there is a “Baker’s Secret” which can have everything from tips for that particular recipe to make it easier, places to find decorations used in the photo, or even ideas as to how to slightly change the recipe or decorations to make the cupcake in a fun new way. There are a few other things that I did not expect that I totally love that surprised me like a recipe for Gluten Free Cupcakes it even has ideas to make it dairy free as well. This book has so many incredible ideas and recipes I have had so much fun making different cupcakes from it. For Teacher’s Appreciation I made cupcakes for Kaia’s Teachers. When everyone saw them I was asked to make cupcakes for all the kids Birthday parties. It has been so much fun. I love learning new techniques and getting better with the tips and ideas shown in this book.

This book has eye catching pictures to go along with every recipe!

I made this gorgeous and super delicious Tiramisu cupcake from a recipe found in this amazing cookbook. I changed it a little by adding coffee extract to the batter and cinnamon sugar as a topper on the frosting instead of chocolate everyone seemed to like it better that way.

I made the Cookies and Cream cupcakes for Mikey’s birthday they were a huge hit
