Picture 054We love animals in our house. My kids were over the top thrilled to get to try out Educational Insights new games Kitten Caboodle and Diggity Dog. These games were truly fantastic. I like that it teaches them reasoning counting, matching and more. We talked about how animals need certain things to be happy. The cards represent some of the animals basic needs. Which opened up a discussion as to what other things these animals might need. There are cards with pictures of animals you can adopt which are super cute. Another thing I really liked is how this game works on different levels. My 4 year old was looking to get any animal he could with the cards he had. While my 7 year old saved her cards. Even though she could have gotten one animal with the cards she had she saved them so that she could get a different animal she wanted more.
Picture 046These games were a lot of fun. My daughter loves cats while my son loves dogs. So they each have their favorites. Although both games appealed to each of them. The photos of the animals are really cute. The different cards with the needs of each animal were easy for my kids to understand and they liked using them as currency for adopting their pets. Using them as memory cards is a fun activity too, but really my kids were more interested in collecting the right cards to adopt their favorite pets.
