Power of Play Symposium

Pretend City is hosting the Power of Play Symposium Wednesday, November 16, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm.

In an age where TV, computer and cell phone screens are transforming the way grown-ups and children live, we must not forget the most fundamental way we learn – play. So, try to silence those cell phones and join our panel of experts as they delve into unraveling the importance of play as a central role in healthy intellectual, social and emotional child development.

Our panel of experts:
•Dr. Ann Corwin, The Parenting Doctor
•Dr. Regina Lamourelle, Human Development Department Chair, Registered Nurse, Santiago Canyon College
•Nicole Hadley, CCLS, Child Life Specialist
•Elizabeth Sorensen, LCSW, Registered Play Therapist

Specifically for: Parents, caregivers, early childhood educators (of children age 0-5), healthcare professionals in the pediatric field. For the comfort of our adult guests, no children please.
